Welcome to Brook House Junior School. I hope this website proves to be helpful and informative. If you are visiting this website for the first time I hope that you find it gives you a feel for the vibrant and exciting school we believe Brook House Junior School to be.

Our school provides the children with a broad and balanced curriculum which is supplemented by many additional activities including opportunites to play a musical instrument, sports teams, a range of clubs on offer, residential visits from Year 5 and opportunities for every child to perform in drama productions every year.

The school aims to develop the whole child within an environment which is caring, calm, purposeful and happy and one which respects others and recognises individual needs.

Sports Day

Our annual sports day was a fantastic success with children doing a range of fun activities in which to score points for their house team.

The weather was kind to us and we had great support from all our parents. We even had time for a mums race and teacher race which was extremely competitive!

Well done to Chatsworth who were the overall winning team.

Year 3 Flood Day

As part of the Topic 'Weather and Disasters', The History Van arrived at school to provide a unique, interactive experience for our Year 3 children.

The children acted out stories from the Flood that occurred in Sheffield in 1864 and they took part in several activities during the day.

Creatures visit school

'Meet a creature' visited school as part of the Year 6 topic on Brazil.

The visit reinforced the knowledge and understanding of creatures and their habitats. In addition, children were able to hold different animals such as snakes, lizards and spiders.

The visit was a huge success for both pupils and staff.
